Usability Inspection & Redesign

The Challenge:

The site had information related to Law from the two councils of: Britain and Pakistan . The client wanted to include India now and was stuck because apart from other usability issues the screen "real estate" itself did not allow a third party's ( India ) Information to be displayed and navigated. We defined the problem further so that the seven SAARC countries could be accommodated in the future.

The Approach:

Expert review was carried forward by Estuary Labs's consultant. It was followed by the redesign of the site. It was suggested to the client to make the site as an information portal as a first stage implementation. The second phase would include functionalities of an Enterprise portal to enable users with centralized, easy-to-use access information, and applications and services that they need to participate in a collaborative information / business environment.

The Outcome:

Evaluation and redesign showed dramatic increase in the number of users that visited the site. There were more frequent student users than before who were seeking help from downloading case studies. Further work is in progress to make it an enterprise portal.
